On July 30th I was pulled out of a meeting because of a “disturbance” on the street. When I got to my office window, I saw my girlfriend standing on a bus across the street. What came next was the most genuine, funny, heartfelt marriage proposal.
Just the night before, we were talking about romance and I pretty much told her she wasn’t romantic. I am eating crow…and will be for a long time.
A Zelda-loving couple recently got engaged after brobro hacked an emulated version of The Legend of Zelda to display a “will you marry me?” screen upon entering the cave at the beginning to collect your wooden sword.
This is a self-portrait of my engagement. I saw this cave in a National Geographic and was amazed. Little did I know such beauty was only a couple of hours from my home. After a rainy drive, we arrived at Stephens Gap in NE Alabama just as the clouds cleared. The cave was incredible both inside and out. The cool moist air and beautiful rays of light made it feel surreal. To cap it all off, she said yes! To capture this self portrait I used a wireless remote in combination with a shutter delay setting.
He told me I was doing a photo shoot of him and me to send some pictures to his mother back home, and he wanted to be in his uniform and me looking nice in a dress.
And then when I set the timer and ran over to stand beside him, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
