The gaping maw of a ferocious dragon serves as an archway for the upcoming Lunar New Year festivities to be held at a park in Chengdu in Sichuan province, China. The Year of the Dragon kicks off on January 23, 2012, and dragon motifs and sculptures are expected to sprout throughout China in the coming days.
